Jay Parkins, originally from Western Pennsylvania, worked throughout his high school and college days at a burial vault company, installing small tents in cemeteries for funerals. People would call and want to use the funeral tents for other backyard events. After college, Jay moved to Lancaster County. Wanting to stay busy, Jay decided that renting funeral tents would be great part-time work. Instead of a funeral tent, Jay purchased a used party tent. Now, more then 20 yeas later, Jay , along with his crew, are still installing tents, but for more happy occasions. Weddings, church picnics, backyard parties, business events, and fundraisers all depend on AE Parkins Tents for their outdoor weather protection.
